Each moment and milestone is to be cherished,
as every parent knows that in the
blink of an eye your cuddly little newborn will be an adventurous, chatty toddler.

FAQs

1. How old should a baby be for newborn portraits?

Ideally, newborns should be photographed within the first or second week of their lives.

2. If my baby is already two weeks old, have I missed the window

for a newborn photography session?

Infants up to six weeks old can be photographed with similar

results to photographing a newborn. However, the only
way to guarantee that you’ll get exactly the newborn portrait you’re envisioning is by booking your session as early as possible.

3. Are props and costumes provided?

Yes, I will provide a small minimal collection of charming props of made safe, organic materials.

4. What happens if a session is interrupted by nursing?

Each session is meant to be relaxing and enjoyable,

so there’s never any pressure to rush, and it’s absolutely nurse or no problem to cuddle your newborn as needed.
Parents should note that babies tend to get hungrier during portrait sessions, so I recommend bringing an extra bottle if you’re

bottle-feeding.

5. Are there any tips for keeping my baby calm during the shoot?
Once babies have full tummies and are kept very warm and snug,

they usually stay calm and relaxed throughout the session.

6. How do I book a session when I’m not sure exactly when

the baby will be born?
When making your booking initially, a tentative session is

scheduled according to your due date. Then, once you’ve had

the baby, please get in touch as soon as you can

to confirm the date and time of your session.

I will accommodate last-minute requests where possible,

but making your booking while you’re five or six months
pregnant is the best way to secure a spot while your baby is still a newborn, and will also guarantee that you get everything you could hope for out of your session.

7. Do you offer any maternity packages and when

should I book my maternity session?
Maternity sessions should be booked as soon as possible

after you’ve had your 20-week scan, so we’ll have enough

time to get to know one another and discuss the concept for your session.

8. What is the best time in my pregnancy for my maternity session?
Once you’re comfortable, the ideal window of time for a maternity shoot is between 32 and 36 weeks.

9. Are outfits available at the studio for maternity shoots?
Usually, there is a small wardrobe of available clothing

that you’re welcome to use during your session, however due to Covid19 you are advised to use your own outfit.

10. Can I bring family members to my maternity or newborn session?

Absolutely—partners and children are more than welcome

to join, however no more than 4 people (2 parents + 1 kids max) are allowed due

to the nature of the space and covid19 safe measures.

11. Do you offer any packages?

Yes, in addition to the Maternity and Newborn collection, I also provide the Milestone collection. This is the perfect package for mums and dads who want to remember each phase of
their baby’s first year, with beautiful photographs that show

your little one growing from a sleepy newborn to a bubbly baby

right through to that special milestone of their very first birthday.
The Milestone collection includes:

the maternity collection, the newborn collection a complementary 30min 6-months session and the cake smash collection.
