My goal for you is to create timeless images that won’t go out of fashion. So, when you look at your new-borns pictures framed on your wall in 20 years’ time, you don’t focus on those old strange prints on your top or the gigantic logo on your t-shirt, which so normally pops up when looking at the old family album and reminded of 80s or 90s fashions… (if you are as old as me ;)). So my tips on what to wear for your newborn photography session are the following:

Keep it Neutral

In my experience neutral, pastel colours and organic fabrics create timeless images and these are also suitable for any season, as your precious new-born images are to cherish all year around. For this reason, I am going to suggest few companies I love. The White Company and COS have some beautiful timeless pieces to look for.

What about the baby’s outfit

The same goes for your baby, as you have seen in my work, I like to keep it simple. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing the pure skin of your the little baby. It’s for that reason I use minimal props, if any, as babies are so beautiful the way they are and there is no need to cover them in tonnes of clothing or distracting props! In a Nutshell

Stay away from patterns and logos, choose neutral, pastel and organic materials. Dress comfortably and just bring yourself and your beautiful baby!!
